Below is a sample of some of the Open Ended Questions we would ask students to answer.
1) Rather than provide money for a class trip for all students, imagine that your school has the funds to pay for an individual trip for each student! Where would you go? List three (3) places you would visit and explain what you would do while visiting there. Why?
Fieldtrip 1 & Why:
I would like to visit the National Space Flight Center in Washington DC. I would look into the history associated with the first person to land and set foot on the moon.
Fieldtrip 2 & Why:
I would go to Carnegie Hall since I am interested in music and performing arts.
Fieldtrip 3 & Why:
My last choice would be to go to the world wildlife foundation and help save endangered species.
2) Imagine that you have written your first book and you are ready to submit it for publication. What is the title of your book and what is your book about?
The title of my book would be "Runaway".It will be a book that is about an egyption girl from Ancient Egypt who runs away from home because she has a dream that she must find an ancient amulet from Alexandria that is a key to discovering an important fact.
3) Pretend that the kids in your community have been asked to prepare individual time capsules for future generations. You are allowed to include 5 personal possessions that are representative of you to include in your very own time capsule. What personal possessions would you include?
